This Maje jumper takes the familiar polo silhouette and gives it a sharper Parisian twist with a contrasting patent PU collar and button placket. Cut in a ribbed viscose and polyester blend, the close-fitting knit follows the body with a second-skin feel, while the stretch fabrication allows the silhouette to remain comfortable and streamlined.

Provenance

• Maje was founded in Paris in 1998 by Judith Milgrom, who set out to create a wardrobe that allowed women to feel feminine wherever they were and whatever the occasion. The name itself is a family story: the four letters come from the names of Milgrom and her siblings, giving the brand a distinctly personal beginning. 
• From the beginning, Maje occupied an interesting space in French fashion. Less formal than traditional Parisian luxury houses and more polished than high-street fashion, the brand built its identity around the idea of the modern Parisian woman: feminine, confident, adaptable and never too serious about the rules.
• This jumper is a lovely expression of that philosophy.
• At first glance, it is simply a black fitted knit. Then the details reveal themselves.
